Albenecon started on November 2020 the ENEA project (Energy Efficiency living lab). This project will orchestrate a range of regional and cross border activities for target groups and final beneficiaries (research result provides, spin-offs, start-ups) concerning EeB, foster linkages among them in order to increase their innovation capacity, market and investment readiness, as well as foster the deployment of the sector. This range of activities includes the provision of support services: innovation potential of research results audit, estimation of their readiness level, Capacity Building on Entrepreneurship & Commercialization, as well as development of exploitation roadmaps based on actual market needs. Also, the project includes the provision of matchmaking services during B2B meetings and “team-up”among research result providers and RTOs, investors and key industries as potential adopters of the new concepts. Finally, the provision of twinning services will result in crossborder co-creation of EeB R&D concepts. It is widely acknowledged that innovation has become one of the key pillars in modern economies and is gaining a growing importance in today’s knowledge-based economy. Competitiveness depends on the ability of businesses to meet fast-changing market needs through the application of new technologies. This offers new opportunities and poses new challenges for the partners involved and for whole EUSAIR areas of economic activity where innovation can be the catalyst of growth and development.
